Commander Sunday:

Commander is a fantastic multiplayer format that allows a wide range of card to be used. This format is great fun where politics and broken allegiances take place, you can make friends but remember “there can be only one winner”.

Commander is an exciting, unique way to play Magic that is all about awesome legendary creatures, big plays, and battling your friends in epic multiplayer games! In Commander, each player chooses a legendary creature as the commander of their deck. They then play with a 99-card deck that contains only cards of their commander’s colours. Also, other than basic lands, each deck can only use one copy of any card. During the game, you can cast your commander multiple times, meaning your favourite Legendary Creature can come back, again and again, to lead the charge as you battle for victory!

The event runs every Sunday from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and then again from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

Entry is £3 per player per session entered with the winner of each pod gaining an instant prize of a current booster pack. (Excluding masters packs) All players are working hard to earn points by hitting certain pre-decided targets within the games. All score add up over a 6 week period and then prizes are awarded to all players on a sliding scale based on overall point earned by each player.
These games tend to feel more relaxed and the emphasis is more on having fun so are a fantastic way for new players to play fun interactive games with less restriction on cards used.
Commander allows the use of most MTG card available and only have a small banned list which can be found through this link.
